As you are looking and buying or just shopping online you need to be sure that you are looking are things that you are going to like. After all you cannot try it on in a virtual changing room so you need to pick out your pieces very carefully. There isn't anything better then buying a sexy piece and not even having to go out to get it. You would want to be able to get something that you really like but at the same time be able to trust the source that you are buying it from. You want to know who you are buying it from and recognize the names you could be typing your credit card info into a fake website then have your identity stolen without even knowing it.

You also want to know how the return policy works and not want to get something that you can't wear or return that would be the worst. Online lingerie shopping can be the best way to get it and can be the best way to save time. You don't feel awkward trying your pieces on at home but when you are changing in public it can get kind of sketchy. You are going to be in the privacy and safety of your house so nobody will even ever know what you are doing where as in public people know what you are trying on and will often discuss amongst themselves about you.

Be sure that what you are buying fits and suits you there is nothing worse then buying something that doesn't fit and that you don't like. The worst thing you could probably do is buy something just because it looks good on the model you might not have the type of body that the model does or you might. You are not buying your piece for her to wear you buying it for you and you only. Every women has a certain type of body and is subject to there husbands or boyfriends evaluation which in that case you should get something that they will like and like on you and not just for your body even though that is what they will most likely be looking at. It is often easy to get something that you like online but then get it and hate it when you see it and wear it.

You need to really think about what you want before you go nuts and buy something that you absolutely hate more than anything you have. The main key to getting something that looks good and makes you look sexy is something that you like and know that fits you and your style. You want to get something that shows all the areas you like and want to show and at the same time hide the areas that you don't want everyone to see. The key to getting what you really want is getting stuff that you already have designs to and that you know you will like after you get it in.

The word lingerie is derived from the French word lin which means linen. The two languages use the word to connote entirely different things. The word, in French, is a synonym for all undergarments of either sex; in contrast, the word, in English, refers to women's fashion undergarments. Apart from nylon, common materials used to make lingerie include polyester, satin, and silk.

About a century ago, underwear was bulky. Because of this, women chose lingerie for reasons of hygiene. Six decades later, in the 1960s, manufacturers first thought of imparting sexual appeal to lingerie, to use as a marketing tool.

During the 1980s and early 1990s, there was a lot of innovation in the hosiery sector, whether it was in new fibers that got introduced or in new products that were launched. But the innovative thinking has appeared to run out of steam within the first decade of this century.

Experimentation with radical design changes has characterized even the corsetry sector; take a look at the Bioform bra, for instance. But design changes have been few and far between, and innovation, if any, is mainly seen in the use of textiles and finishings. The lingerie sector which has been growing leaps and bounds is no different.

It is in light of this backdrop of the lingerie industry that we must appreciate any attempt to innovate.

Many modern undergarment manufacturers claim to design beautiful, romantic lingerie. They boast extremely fine detailing and quality fabrics. Their avowed aim is to find something to suit every woman, from the virgin to the vixen, and everyone in between. They want to be able to help women find their own personal lingerie style, from a well-fitting bra to an amazing silk set.

The innovative bug has bitten the manufacturers, and the result is theme based lingeries, e.g., holiday themes. There are several costume options for Halloween.

You might actually fancy yourself and your partner in one of their 'his and her' costumes, if you are planning to attend a costume party, on Halloween.

Or, if you are male, you might fancy yourself as a Roman Emperor - Julius Caesar, no less - and sport a tunic, a breast plate, a gold leaf crown, a cape, etc. With luck, you might bump into a Cleopatra, who owes her innovative attire to one of these designs, like you.

There's no sexual discrimination, as both men and women can actually make fashion statements with the products of modern undergarment manufacturers, who have gone beyond lingerie, to party wear as well. And if you missed wearing it to a Halloween party, this year, then there's always Christmas!

Is this all a marketing trick? 'Trick or treat?' might depend on how well you carry the clothes off.

Tai Chi is a unique pastime, not only is it exercise but it is also consider both a sport and an art. One of the key factors in Tai Chi is the ability of the person practicing the art to focus and use basic meditation methods to execute the exercises correctly. Added to this are factors such as the environment, tranquility, and the proper clothing.

The need for proper clothing cannot be underestimated when practicing Tai Chi as the right fitting clothing is just as important as preparing yourself mentally. According to the experts the spiritual energy possessed by all human beings flows through every pore of the body and wearing tight and restrictive clothing can greatly reduce this energy flow. It is said that this is even more important for beginning practitioners of the art as these people are just learning to find and harness their energy.

The exercises in Tai Chi require a lot of movement and flexibility so clothing such as jeans and jackets are inhibiting and should not be worn. Clothing such as this will also make the wearer extremely uncomfortable while in meditation.

The best clothing for Tai Chi will be light, soft and flexible so that it doesn't inhibit movement and is also limber enough that it will allow the practitioner to easily hold the required postures. The suggested fabrics to use are cotton, silk, and linen. Pants made of linen are always a good choice because of its thermo-regulation properties and in contrast to silk is very durable and resistant to abrasion. With that said the old time traditional Tai Chi masters always wore silk due to it being so plentiful in China. Another good option for those who cannot get silk or linen is cotton which is cool and inexpensive.

As far as color goes, most Tai Chi clothing will be either Black or White or a combination of the two. Some schools will have colors that are specific to that particular school.

Some more casual Tai Chi schools do not necessitate uniforms be worn by their students and will use t-shirts or sweat shirts with the name of the school printed on them. In most cases the shirt is white and will have traditional Tai Chi symbols printed on it or it will be imprinted with the school's logo. In most cases the pants are left up to the student to choose.

The clothes don't make the man and this is also the case with Tai Chi, someone who is very skilled can practice the art in any clothing and in any environment. The point of this article is to show that the optimum choice is to have loose comfortable clothing, especially in the beginning when you are first learning.

I'm not sure I should admit this, but ordinairily I hate fashion shows. Far from the air of sophisticated cool they like to project, they are usually scenes of disorganised chaos. Nothing can make a half naked model seem less sexy than seeing her get screamed at by a pompous fashion designer for not doing up some buttons in the right order!

In fact the Italians has a great word for scenes like this 'casino'. Literally translated it means 'brothel' but generally its used whenever one is in a situation that seems to prove that there is no order to the universe. A bus breaks down, everyone spills out on to the pavement and starts yelling at each other for no apparent reason. That's 'casino' is action. Frankly, in the context of fashion shows, either literal or empirical translations will suffice perfectly well.

It is against this background that earlier in the year, I found myself at Alexander McQueen's menswear show. The star turn involved suits encased in clear plastic, set to strains of Neil Diamond's "Play Me". They reminded me of those protective coverings that American pensioners put on their sofas. Try as I might, I couldn't really see that there is an especially big market for men with a burning desire to look like a mad pensioner's sofa. So instead, I decided that the show must clearly be about creating a spectacle rather than clothes that translate to real life.

So engrossed in the plastic was I, that I neglected to notice the suit's shoulders. They were were the kind of shoulders that far worthier fashion journalists than I would describe using phrases such as "defiant tailoring". I have no idea what that means either. Instead, lets just say that it means the return of shoulder pads.

I think the 1980's were a bit rubbish. Music was rubbish, haircuts were rubbish, people were rubbish and clothes were well, rubbish. Nothing symbolises that rubbish quite like the shoulder pad. They were clothes for a shouty, strident era. Clothes for Thatcherism. They literally discouraged uncertainty. Lets face it, if you shrugged whilst wearing a particularly large pair of shoulder pads then you started to take on the appearance of Louis XVI after his little tete a tete with Madame Guillotine.

Shoulder pads speak of braying yuppies and the sort of blazer that Rick Astley wore while yodeling about 10 goods reasons to stay, as if even he had realised that the minute people clapped eyes on him they'd be running for the exits.

Shoulder pads also remind me of a sports coat I was bought in my teens, for "special occasions". These usually involved a psychologically wounding trip to a musical in London's West End. I once witnessed a musical version of Mutiny On The Bounty starring Sinitta and David Essex. I thought I might at least get to witness a few sword fights and even some cleavage. I did, but it belonged to David. And you wonder how I ended up in fashion!

I got the invitation to try on the McQueen jacket and after a couple of large gin and tonics, I felt sufficiently bolstered to give it a whirl. It actually looked pretty great, even if I do say so myself. At the risk of talking about defiant tailoring, it makes your silhouette strong and defined, encourages that V taper. But it costs over a thousand pounds (two thousand dollars).

Never mind though, by the time you are reading this, Topshop and the other high street multiples will almost certainly have one on their racks. Ready to wear for a special occasion no doubt.

It should be a no brainer that fly fishing requires specialized clothing such as waders, a fishing vest, rain gear, underwear, polarized sunglasses, gloves, and a hat. Hip or chest waders are an essential part of the wardrobe of a fly fisherman. When choosing waders most people will choose chest waders which come in two styles, boot waders and stocking foot waders. Most fly fishermen seem to prefer the stocking foot type which are made of neoprene rubber.

Another thing that every fly fisherman needs is a fly fishing vest with lots of pockets. Why the need for all the pockets? This is to keep all of the fly fishing items that the fisherman needs to have for fishing. Anyone who has ever waded to fish knows that having to leave the water and return to the bank to get more equipment is a pain so the cure is to have a vest that will hold all you need. Be sure that you have a vest with Velcro closures to hold all of your stuff securely.

Another thing that is an important piece of a fly fisherman's wardrobe is a high quality rain suit. Like any rain suit for active people the best ones are constructed so that they breathe and keep you dry from the rain and at the same time keep you from being hot and wet from perspiration. You also need to have them with the ability to close the wrists and neck in case of cold weather and of course a hood is a must.

Another necessity for fly fishermen is long underwear which will prevent heat loss when you are standing in a cold stream for long hours. For the best results one should choose underwear made from wool or Durofold, a blend of wool, cotton, and polypropylene. This is the same type of fabric blend that one should have for socks as well.

As a fisherman for over 30 years I can also tell you that a good pair of polarized sunglasses is another item that is crucial for fishing in any water including fly fishing in streams. This is not only good for cutting the glare on the water but it also allows you to see the movement in the water that indicates that fish are below the surface.

Gloves are another item that a fly fisherman needs to keep warm but at the same time one also needs to have the full sensitivity to be able to feel the bite from the fish. Fly fishing gloves are made with the last joint of the fingers left free to give that sensitivity.

Another important item is a hat to protect both you head and your eyes, it should also be wide brimmed to protect your ears and the back of your neck. A good hat also will protect you from a fly that may pull from the mouth of the fish.

There are large numbers of online retailers that sell clothing online and this includes regular brick and mortar stores that also sell online. Many people are beginning to make the transition to shopping online as opposed to shopping in stores where one has to drive around town and stand in lines.

If you are an online shopper at all then you know that most traditional stores also have their own online counterparts that allow their loyal customers to purchase the items they want on the internet. You will find large stores such as Target, Macy's, Old Navy, American Eagle and many others with online stores that have anything you can find in the store and more. In many cases you will find clothing online that is not available in stores. I know that I have been able to find my size easily online where it is always unavailable in the stores. This is an easy way to find exactly what you need any time.

When you buy clothes on the internet you have to be a little bit cautious due to not knowing how a certain item will fit until you are able to try it on. In addition to this fact, it is also hard to really tell the true color of an item online. One must read the descriptions of the products thoroughly and also know what the vendor's return policies are before you ever purchase. This enables you to make wise decisions.

Another thing that one needs to be aware of is the cut of the clothing, just because something looks good on the size zero model in the picture doesn't mean it will look the same on you and you also need to be sure that the item will fit properly at all. Some items will look flattering and some of them will not. If you pay close attention to this you will be able to make the best decisions.

Some of the biggest problems people run into when buying online are the return issues. If an item doesn't fit properly you want to be sure that you can easily return it or exchange it with no problems. Even if you make the best guess you possibly can for the size you need you can still end up with something that doesn't fit as well as it should. This is why it is crucial that you do business with a company that has a liberal return policy. For this reason most online retailers have very flexible return policies so that people aren't afraid of making the decision to buy online.

When shopping online be sure that the companies will allow you to return the item if it doesn't fit and also be sure of what the shipping costs are and if the company will charge your for shipping on returns.

Good taste in general design may be instinctive but good taste in dress is not necessarily inherent - however, it can be developed. Principles of good taste in dress change with the type of climate, social structure of a particular locality, geographical location, and era or time in history. Good taste in dress requires sensitivity to the times, to knowledge of fashion, and suitability not only to the individual but to the occasion as well.

Fashion represents the seasonal changes in silhouette, design, color, and material - it also represents the fads and fancies of the style setters and it could be termed as the timely use of an artifice intended to make the wearer more attractive.

Personal style or individuality in dress represents the use to which current fashion is put. It demonstrates the ability to be smartly dressed at all times, the ability to adapt the best of fashion's current dictates suitable for one's own figure and activities - spiced with a bit of daring - and yet in complete harmony with good taste.

How to Develop Good Taste

The criterion of good taste in dress is suitability plus beauty plus apparent simplicity of design. The ability to study, observe, and analyze are important to the development of good taste.

Study art. Go to the museums. Take a course in art appreciation. If possible go to an art school or subscribe to a correspondence course in art. Any of these will help develop keener insight and appreciation of color, line, and general composition in its relation to good design.

Study history and literature pertinent to dress and design. Learn about the effect history has had on fashions. Notice how the morals and customs of a particular society have affected their dress. Most libraries in the larger towns and cities have many excellent books on these subjects.

Observe. Make a habit of observing - of really seeing what people wear and what is currently in fashion. Subscribe to the better magazines and newspapers. Study the latest fashion magazines. Observe the people in public life and in the performing arts. Notice what the actresses wear as they appear in the theatre, movies, and on your television screen at home. A number of television shows have fashion forecasts as part of their regular programming - make it a point to see these.

Observe the general public at various places. Make a note of what is being worn at receptions, parties, meetings, concerts, the theatre - and in all walks of daily life. If at all possible, make a habit of going to the best places, the most fashionable restaurants, resorts, and wherever the public gathers. Go to as many fashion shows as are available to you.

Another good source for news of the latest fashions is in advertising - watch the trade advertisements in newspapers and magazines.

Analyze. As your circle of activities widens - learn to observe critically and make a habit of analyzing what you see.

Observe what makes one individual more attractive than another; analyze what part her clothes play in her apparent attractiveness and why one person seems to have more style than another even when both are dressed in the latest fashion. As you study each costume think of how you would improve it to better suit the wearer or the occasion.

Learn To Discriminate. Keep your eye on good design - don't fall for fashion fads for the sake of the fad alone unless it will do something for you - then by all means use it!

All style news is important but discrimination is the basis of good style.

Sports apparel specialty stores always carry a great variety of sports related clothing as well as sports accessories that will help you with just about any sport. You will be able to find apparel for sports such as golf, aerobics, strength training, yoga, and football. You can even find clothing for extreme sports such as mountain climbing and motocross. In any sport the proper apparel is important to success.

If you are into golf you can find clothing for that almost anywhere. Most golf apparel will include a polo type shirt and nice trousers. One of the most important things in golf is comfort which makes Chinos a very popular choice for pants. Most people also will wear caps and hats which can be found in a diverse selection of designs and styles. If you are into more extreme looks you can find some of the crazy plaid stuff as well.

If you are into running it is best to buy clothing that will pull the moisture away from the body to prevent friction and chafing. These days there are high tech fabrics that are great for this as well as using absorbent cotton socks that will make your run more comfortable. It is also best to choose layers of clothing to help with the removal of moisture. One of the most important pieces of the puzzle is the running shoe which you can also find a wide assortment of at sports specialty stores.

When you are choosing athletic apparel it is also important to think about the climate and weather so that you will be comfortable no matter what the climate is. If you don't choose the appropriate apparel you will be very uncomfortable and it can interfere with your performance. If you are an active jogger and live in an area of the country where there is a lot of inclement weather be sure to buy all weather gear.

If you are into riding horses then you will also want to have the best equestrian gear that you can find to be comfortable in your sport. This sport requires some special equipment that isn't used in any other sport. For example the special riding pants and boots are only used in this sport. If you are in traditional equestrian activities you will probably need a plaid shirt and hat.

If you are into yoga the proper apparel is also important and the most crucial thing is for the clothing to be comfortable and loose so that you will enjoy the exercise. Yoga clothing is not expensive either. You can find comfortable yoga clothing at just about any reputable sports apparel store.

Choosing particular colors to wear according to your skin and hair color will make you wardrobe much more attractive.

Golden

Keep It Shining

It is wonderful to be a blond! There is a radiating sunniness about you that has an undeniable drawing power, whether your hair is flaxen, a bright gold, or the shadowy tone of maple sugar.

Your Color List

Thoughtfully experiment with "your" colors in order to find those which will not only blend with your skin and enhance your eyes, but will also brighten your hair. Here is a list of possibilities: blue; blue-green; green-blue (from light to dark); blue-violet (from pale to deep periwinkle); subdued red-violet and red-orange; brown (such as cocoa, cinnamon and maple); lustrous black; bluish gray; brilliant red (if your skin is clear and fresh).

AVOID orange; yellow (brighter than your hair); intense blue (which pales your eyes); cerise and brilliant fuchsia (which quarrel with your hair); vivid colors (which overwhelm your own pastel coloring). If your hair is a dark blond aid your skin pale or sallow, choose soft neutral colors and reject beige and tan. Black is usually too heavy for you, and yellow-green is always an unfortunate choice.

White - Gray

Turning Gray

Regardless of the flattering remarks comforting friends may make, hair at the mixed stage (without enough white to make it an even gray), is trying!

Many of the colors you wore before your hair turned will still be becoming to you in darker, more neutralized versions. Try dark shades of gray, green, blue-green, red and - unless your skin is yellow - blue and blue-violet. If your skin is fresh, lighter tones may be worn.

For a warm complexion, light and medium-warm colors such as peach, rust, henna and red, may be excellent; however, they should be soft - not vivid. Be careful with black, tan, beige, brown, yellow, yellow-green, and all "muddy" tones. AVOID black and white mixtures, and prints in several hues. This combination tends to emphasize the mixed color of your hair.

Brunettes

Colors for the Cool Brunette

If you have brown hair and eyes and a rather fair, pinkish skin, you have a mixture of warm and cool coloring. You will find the following colors very becoming: red and red-orange (subdued); pinkish grey; bright, medium and dark blue; fuchsia and other shades of red-violet; rich brown; black; and, warm off-white. AVOID: vivid light blue and green; muddy beige; pale grey.

If you are a brunette with blue or grey eyes, white skin and dark hair, colors such as green, blue-green, blue and blue-violet are your best choices. You can also wear mauve, fuchsia and American Beauty. Crimson and other shades of red tinged with blue, black, white and grey are very flattering to you. AVOID: beige; orange; and, yellow-red.

Betwixt And Between

The Colors You Wear

Fortunately you are able to wear some "cool" and some "warm" colors, and for this reason have a very wide and interesting color range from which to choose - - limited only by the quality of your skin! Here is your list of suggested colors: dark blue-green; medium gray-green; navy; soft gray-blue; aqua; turquoise; lavender; red-brown; dull orange white; pale yellow; dull gold; and, subdued red.

Not every color will be becoming, but you will find several which will not only enhance the color of your hair and eyes but will, at the same time, give life to your hair. AVOID: overpowering colors; tan, beige and muddy brown (near that of your hair coloring).

Now that you know your most flattering colors, dressing in the best clothes for you will become easy.

When it comes to the importance of the way we look, writer Gore Vidal put it simply: "Style is about knowing who you are, what you want to say, and not giving a damn." However, for many years larger women in the UK have had little choice when it came to fashionable plus-size clothes, and so have been forced to 'not give a damn' by default!

Thankfully, at least some enlightened fashion retailers are waking up to the fact that they need to offer more trendy plus size clothing so that fuller figured women can have a bountiful choice when it comes to defining their wardrobe. Although still in the minority, an increasing amount of major fashion chain stores in the UK are now increasing the amount of retail space they dedicate to plus size clothing. Indeed, specialist outlet Matalan now offers their own Rogers & Rogers plus-size collection offering the absolute latest in larger women's fashion.

Most fashion experts agree that looking good is all about achieving proportion and symmetry. So, even though you cannot change your body in an instant, you can instantly change the way you look by revising your wardrobe. The trick is to highlight your best assets while hiding or downplaying less flattering parts of your body. Get that right and you will undoubtedly feel confident, feminine and sexy, regardless of your body shape.

Plus-size fashion has come a long way in only a few years. Previously the only clothes available were frumpy garments that more resembled sacks or tents, specifically designed to hide the wearer's body shape. Now, however designers are now producing gorgeous plus-size clothes at eminently affordable prices that will appeal to everyone. A well-made, stylish plus size top can transform a basic ensemble into a 'wow' outfit! Plus, as we've already discussed the secret to looking good is promoting good features and hiding less flattering areas. You will already be well versed in which of your features, such as your neck, bust or legs are flattering or need less prominence but regardless, the golden rule is to think vertical. That means you should forget horizontal stripes, hoops and other patterns which will invariably make you look wider.

Also stay clear of ultra-busy prints that make the wearer look bigger. Instead go for vertical stripes and big bold buttons to give you a slimmer look; this works as the eyes are drawn up and down, rather than side to side. But, the look itself is only part of the total picture and you should also carefully consider the fit. Any reasonable fashion top should hug your body, but not too tightly. Plus-size figures should not be hidden, but just like with any size woman a top that is too tight will highlight areas that would make any woman feel uncomfortable. Similarly, don't wear a top that is too baggy in an attempt to hide your body. Show it off, be proud, but ensure that you pick the right size which will show off your beautiful curves as well as making you look classy and chic.

The classic slimming shade is black, but why should you always dress like you are attending a funeral? Have some fun with bright colours and go for colours that will highlight your eyes, skin and hair. If you want to be bold, show some flesh and opt for a low-cut V-neck that has the dual effect of accentuating your bust and lengthening your neck, however, be wary of showing your mid-riff unless it is well-toned.

As a rule, plus-size women should avoid animal print tops as they too will make the wearer look bigger, however scarves with animal prints can be a fantastic addition to a stylish outfit. As we all know accessories add the finishing touches to any outfit, and the latest trendy handbags, shoes and scarves can all transform your everyday outfits into a stylish, fashionable look. Jewellery such as necklaces, pins and brooches can add a fabulous touch of glamour to fashion tops and jackets.

Have fun finding the plus size clothes at Matalan (http://www.matalan.co.uk/pages/products/002/096) that show you at your best; select the right style, colours and size and you'll feel fabulous and confident all year long.

Patterns are made to conform with certain standard measurements. Allowance is made for ease or fullness at bust, across shoulder, at waistline, hip and upper arm. The amount of fullness depends on the type of fabric used. Sheer fabrics, such as chiffons, net, laces, etc., require greater fullness in treatment than linens, firm crepes, cottons and woolens.

True fit of a garment begins with the proper adjustment of your pattern, but it depends on cutting along the true grain of the fabric.

On each separate piece of your pattern the lengthwise grain is indicated. This is your guide for laying out the pattern on the fabric. It is very important that all adjustments be made in line with the lengthwise marking, or at right angles to it. Before making adjustments draw a straight line parallel, or at right angles to, the lengthwise marking. Then fold or cut pattern on this line for necessary adjustment.

Checking Measurements

If one is above or below the average in height, or varies from standard pattern measurement at hip, waistline, etc., then certain adjustments should be made to one's pattern. To determine where adjustments should be made, first compare your pattern with your measurement chart; consider allowance for fullness and seams. Make notations as to any difference in measurements.

As a Further Check

In order to make adjustments and to study the lines of your pattern, pin blouse sections together and pin in darts, tucks, etc. Then join front and back sections of blouse. This is your first fitting, and it should be a most exacting one since the true fit of a garment begins with the pattern.

For this fitting, and for all fitting steps in the assembly of the garment, it is most important that you wear the foundation garments and the type of shoes you expect to wear with the finished garment. Pin skirt sections together; then pin skirt to blouse. Try on pattern before full length mirror. Stand in a relaxed and natural position and examine every line carefully. Now is the time to make any changes you think desirable.

Pattern Adjustments

To Lengthen Waist

Slash pattern straight across between the underarm and the waistline. Spread for length required. Insert a strip of tissue paper under the slash and pin.

To Lengthen Skirt

Slash all sections straight across the hipline. Spread sections apart evenly. Insert strip of tissue paper underneath and pin.

To Lengthen Sleeve

Determine if extra length is required above or below the elbow, or both. Slash pattern straight across and spread for extra length. Pin a strip of paper underneath.

To Shorten a Sleeve, Waist or Skirt

Lay a fold across the pattern evenly, adjusting it to the shorter length required. Place fold just where you would make the lengthening adjustment.

For Larger Waistline

Slash blouse sections from waistline toward shoulder line. Spread each back section for one-half the total amount required across the back. Handle both front blouse sections in the same manner.

Slash skirt sections from waistline down, spread so slash is adjacent to those in blouse sections. Insert a strip of paper underneath and pin.

For Round Shoulders

Cut pattern across full part of back. Raise upper section for extra length required. Insert tissue paper underneath slash so it extends from center of back to neckline. Keep center back line straight with grain of fabric. Lay a dart at the neckline to take up the amount added at center back.

For Additional Length at Back of Sleeve and for Fullness at Elbow

Slash pattern from elbow (at outside edge) to center of sleeve; then slash toward the shoulder line. Spread upper portion for length and fullness desired. Insert tissue paper beneath slash and pin.

With some practice, you will be able to alter any pattern to suit.

With so many popular celebrities getting into the pregnant scene, there has never been such a good time to get pregnant with the many funky and stylish maternity clothes out there to show off your belly bump. Shopping for maternity clothes can just be as fun as regular shopping with the wide array of selections to help you look great even if you are pregnant.

Putting together your maternity wardrobe is no different when you try to put on a wardrobe for the various seasons during the year. You are as well to select maternity clothes depending on your season of pregnancy most especially taking into consideration the start of the third trimester when your belly really begins to grow in terms of size and you are bigger than normal.

Being pregnant doesn't have to mean buying an entire new wardrobe set, unless you still have plans of getting pregnant again in the next couple of years and so wherein you can reuse again some of the old maternity clothes that you have. Buying just the basic bottom pieces and purchasing numerous tops to match them with can help alleviate feelings of being unattractive and drab among pregnant women. If you were chic and stylish prior to getting pregnant, doesn't mean that you have to say goodbye to being fashionable just because you now have a baby bump? Careful selection of maternity clothes should be exercised as over the ensuing months you will be changing sizes and shapes.

While early on during your pregnancy you may still be able to squeeze yourself into your regular clothes, you should not force yourself on your small regular clothes when you seem no longer to be able to fit into them. You can still be a hot looking mama with the right maternity clothes and if you avoid hiding yourself inside tent like clothes. You can even give your friends who may have just given birth a call to see if you could borrow some of the maternity clothes they may no longer use for the meantime.

A pair of maternity jeans would be a wise investment as you could easily pair them up with tops to give you a casual or less formal look for any occasion. A-line tops and sweaters that flow all the way below your hips would look great paired off with a long skirt or evening pants. During pregnancy, side effects would include having ample bosom so make the most out of it by flaunting your new found womanly curves.

Wear maternity clothes with confidence and you'll feel great and beautiful.

When it comes to the hottest in girls' fashions for ages 2 to 6, mix and match is out and coordinated looks are in. This means girls who are styling have the bases covered from head to toe.

Getting a handle on just what coordinated means is a little tricky for parents who aren't hip on the fashion scene. For an outfit to really dazzle, it needs to have a few extra components to make sure it's done up just right. When the following special touches are included, here are some children's designer clothing that fits the style trend to the letter:

1) Boutique dresses: Tops and bottoms or dresses. From pretty neutrals and bright pastels to funky prints, these need to offer a style that's all their own. Tops and bottoms must match or complement extremely well to fit the trends in little girls' style.

2) Hair accessories. Bandanas, bows, bands, hair ties and even kerchiefs need to complement the look. While after-the-fact accessory buys can work, the most standout of hairpieces match the tops, bottoms or dresses with the exact same colors or prints. Don't underestimate the impact these have on tying a style all together.

3) Totes. Little girls just love little purses. When style matters, these absolutely have to match. After purchases work very well, especially when they're designed to go with shoes. Still, there is something particularly distinct about totes and purses that match the materials of tops and bottoms.

4) Shoes, socks. Most coordinated fashions for girls 2 to 6 don't come with footwear to match, but choosing carefully really tops off the look. Select colors that match or go with neutrals that fit and style.

Some of the hottest types coordinated fashions include:

1) Camouflage outfits. Move over little boys, there are new commandos in town. Little girls just love adding their own style to camouflage. Add in a little lace, ribbons or bows and they're ready to make a statement that's all their own.

2) Fun and funky prints. Jungle, party, abstract prints and more are all on the in list along with much more. The bright and bolder, generally the better. When offset with the right coordinates, these really please the little girl who likes to stand out from the crowd.

3) Delicate patterns. Set in pastels and just barely noticeable, delicate patterns and prints make a subtle statement that's just right for sophisticated tastes.

4) Spectacular solids with just the right embellishments. The sleek sophistication of solid colors is not missed in little girl trends. When the right embellishments are added, such as appliques or ruffles, she'll look like a princess.

When it comes to girls boutique dresses that are in, the trendiest girls ages 2 to 6 are dressing to match from head to toe. Whether they desire funky and fun or chic and sophisticated, boutique designers are gearing up to please with fashions just right for little girls' style.

The idea of spending time at the mall shopping for some great buys whether by yourself or with your friends is such an enlivening experience especially for the millions of shopaholics out there. There is that feeling of excitement as you scour through the different shops, checking out the racks, making purchases and going home satisfied with a handful of new clothes to add to your ever growing wardrobe collection. But then many women find themselves with exorbitant credit card bills for the clothing purchases that they may be now regretting about as they have to find ways to pay for them. Here are some tips when shopping for clothes to avoid remorse as well as to prevent from making impulsive, spur of the moment purchases that could leave a dent to your money bank.

Do not go shopping for clothes that you do not practically need. Just like grocery shopping, have a list of the clothes that you need to purchase. Before you head out to the mall, check out your closet for items which you think you need and think about how much you are willing to spend on these items. When you will be doing some shopping always canvass the prices of the different shops as well as check on the quality of the items to ensure a good buy. Give yourself ample time to go through many stores to avoid making rash decisions. Wear comfortable shoes and clothes so that you won't easily tire from all the store-hopping.

Stick to the clothes that you need when shopping. Always try the clothes on in front of a mirror to not only see how it looks on you but to also check out if it is comfortable as well as how the fabric feels on your body. Do not be tempted to make purchases for clothes that do not fit you or those that are not your size thinking that you will try your best to get rid of the weight so that you could fit into them. A knowledgeable salesperson would be a very big help if you have particular needs in mind and he/she can help you find clothes that are within your spending budget. He/she could even inform you of upcoming discounts and sales.

Clothes are considered an investment and you could save a lot on money if you buy those that will last you for many more years especially the classic styles and designs that never go out of fashion. Quality is a very important consideration.

Many sports enthusiasts will consider high quality logos as a way of determining the best styles in sports apparel they choose. They will usually pay more attention to the quality of the stitching in the team logo than they would in the stitching used in other places of the garment. The best styles are irrelevant to people who want to be in stylish fashion because that is what their friends wear.

Some people do not care about the materials that are used in making sports apparel. Others are extremely picky and want only the finest silks and jersey materials to be used because they feel that their favorite team deserves that type of competitive edge. Fans will usually want some team gear in the closet that makes a resounding fashion statement to the rest of the world when it is worn to a team event.

If people are involved in many sports, they might choose to narrow down the choices that they must make by selecting to wear only licensed sports gear. While these choices might prove to be quite expensive at times, a fan will be willing to part with some cold hard cash for gear that is a direct replica of the people who earn millions in promotions and endorse a sports apparel item that bears their name.

Most people that shop for sports gear are willing to do quite a bit of research to find the best styles and the best prices on what they want. With the help of internet search engines, it is possible for people to comparison shop many sports gear stores and the various values that they offer without having to leave home to do it. If they choose to receive email updates to the latest sports apparel, they might even own sportswear before friends have it.

Many of the licensed sports apparel shops will offer the latest styles on a website by giving the item top billing. The website might offer a showcase of new selections that will dominate the home page of the website for many weeks until other new sets arrive to replace it in the showcase. People enjoy seeing various views of sports gear in this fashion and buy it because it is featured in this way.

With jackets, shirts, jerseys and other sports apparel to pick from it is quite possible for some fans to be overwhelmed by the choices that they must make. These people might choose to turn over the duties of buying them to a personal shopper who must deal with the grief of finding the great buys on sports apparel that must please the entire family. This task is usually very simple for a person who is objective and makes it a point to learn where bargain prices are located for buying all sorts of sports apparel.

As the shift in the "ideal" feminine body shifts from waif-like to voluptuous, leaders in the Plus Size modeling industry are rapidly become style and beauty icons. Powerful feminine curves, glowing skin and luscious hair may seem a far-fetched beauty goal for most, but ALL women, of all shapes and sizes can look Plus-Goddess fantastic by following just a few simple tips.

First: Find the right undergarments for your body. A well-fitting bra and Spanx are a girls best friends, they'll slim, shape and enhance your curves. A properly fitting bra allows for better posture and supports your bust effectively, creating a sexy curvy shape. Spanx are a nylon-like support garments for the thighs and tummy, comfortable and utterly magical in their smoothing ability!

Second: Dont deny your true size. I know it would feel better to see a lower number size on your jeans, but trust me, when it comes to the fit of your clothing, your look will be made, or broken on the basis of fit. If you are bulging out of your pants at the top (the dreaded muffin-top) its going to kill the sexiness of any outfit. On the flip side, oversized clothing is just as unflattering as sizes that are too small; you'll simply look larger than you are. Plus size women look best in tailored, slightly fitted styles created to enhance and flatter curves.

Third: Play up your favorite features. If you have sexy legs, flaunt them in a knee-length pencil skirt or city shorts with a matching jacket. If you have a tiny waist or great cleavage, choose fitted blazers or wrap v-neck sweaters to show what you love about yourself. Consider the atmosphere when choosing how much of your favorite feature to show-off, your legs may be fabulous, but there's only so much of them that's appropriate to be showcased at work.

Fourth: Great, polished hair is a must. Whether you have wavy, curly, or straight hair, always make sure its styled, healthy and shiny. Misting with a curl enhancer, or smoothing a shine enhancer throughout helps keep most styles looking sleek, and is easy to do before running out the door. Don't deny your texture, fighting with styling tools daily take a tole on the condition and look of your hair.

Fifth: Make-up should highlight the best parts of your face, your amazing eyes, luscious lips or gorgeous cheekbones. A good tip if you feel you have a double chin, is to swipe bronzer underneath the chin and onto the neck to make that area recede back and appear slimmer. Bronzer also can create, or enhance cheekbones and contour the cheeks. Keep your look simple and fresh, sticking to the principal of enhancing your favorite features.

We have always envied women with supermodel figures knowing that they could practically sport any outfit they want always looking picture perfect for any occasion. Some of us even starve ourselves just to attain the figure that we have been dreaming of. While it is perfectly good if you are slimming yourself (using the right procedures like exercise and a balanced diet) for health reasons, you can achieve a flattering look despite the fact that you may not have reached your targeted weight for now. You can practically look great in an outfit and be a head-turner with the right choice of clothes in terms of color, design, fabric and style to flatter your figure in just the right curves.

It is general knowledge that darker colors like black gives you a slimming figure so it is ideal to use dark colors for areas that you would want to minimize while you should do the opposite and choose bright and light colors for the areas that you want to emphasize. If you have big hips for example, you could wear a dark set of slacks and pair it off with either a white or pastel colored top to draw attention away from your problem area which is the hips.

Prints have ways of either creating the illusion of slimming you down or adding more weight. Horizontal or diagonal prints always create the illusion of a slim figure while vertical stripes can give you an expanded look. Solid colors would always be a safe staple in your wardrobe but prints can add some life and color to your ensemble. For a slimmer effect, select fabric with prints in a dark background.

Shiny fabrics are really very attractive looking especially for formal affairs but they have the tendency to also emphasize your flaws if you don't have an hour glass figure. Shiny fabrics have the tendency to give you an enlarging effect. Going for the duller finishes could give you a slimmer appearance.

Accessories or details on your outfit draw attention to that particular body part so if you want to accentuate your sexy waist then you could accessorize a belt that will emphasize it. You can draw attention for example to your well-endowed breasts by wearing an outfit that shows some cleavage. Avoid putting on accessories to problem areas that you don't have any desire to give emphasis on.

With a few simple tricks and tips, you are well on your way to feeling great and looking confident whatever your outfit may be.
