Lingerie can be a romantic gift for your wife or girlfriend for irregardless of her shape and size, lingerie can make a woman feel good about herself. Shopping for her lingerie will make her feel sexier and all woman. But for many men, the world of lingerie is like the world of the unknown.
Plus, with the many types of lingerie available in the market and with little known intimate information (like size, fit, etc.) it can be a very difficult choice to make. The men don't want to end up buying something that their women may not like and wear after all.
Women's lingerie can cover almost all categories of intimate apparel from brassieres, panties, corsets, chemise, night gowns, hosiery, bustier, etc. Men should be able to figure out their woman's size, choice color and fabric as well as what she actually likes, what would actually look good for her figure and what you would like her wearing. Comfort should also be considered for women would want to wear comfortable lingerie.
In the world of lingerie, there are basically the typical sizes of small, medium, large, extra large and plus sizes that could range from 1X to 6X. If you are looking for panties, night gowns, sleepwear and the like, these sizes should apply but with the case of bras, the sizes are totally different. Men should either take a look at the bra size their partners are wearing or if possible you would have to find it out from your woman yourself.
The style of the lingerie as well as the fabric should also be considered. Some styles and fabrics are loose while others are form fitting. If you are not so familiar with her size, it would be a safe choice to either buy her sleepwear, robe, night gown or negligee. Corsets and bustier generally require a more accurate measurement for a good fit.
If you are buying lingerie for a full-figured woman, find items that will flatter her shape and curves rather than covering and hiding them up.
For guys who are embarrassed to be seen shopping for lingerie you can always turn to online shopping where you can be discreet. Plus, you get to choose from more choices than you would normally find in a local lingerie store. If not you could just take your woman along with you and give her a lingerie shopping spree. Couples will enjoy not only the quality time being spent together but it can be fun to see your partner trying on different items.
